National Merit Semifinalists

Five St. John's School seniors have been identified as semifinalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among the 16,000 semifinalists that were selected by the officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

8th Asia-Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS) 

Three St. John's School upper school students participated and all placed in their respective categories at the 8th Asia-Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS) in Yakutsk, Russia last October 14 to October 20.

St. John's First Annual Benefit
Concert

St. John's Tri-M Music Honor Society hosted its inaugural benefit concert on September 15, 2019 at the Dale J. Jenkins Gymnasium. Donations to the concert benefited the Mahanaim Orphanage in Bali. 

International Young Scientists Innovation Exhibition (IYSIE) 

Six of our St. John's students garnered top awards in the 2019 International Young Scientists Innovation Exhibition (IYSIE) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 8-12, 2019. This event was organized by the Malaysia Young Scientist Organization.

1st Quarter Sports

Congratulations to the following teams and individuals for placing in their respective sports:

MS Girls Basketball - 3rd Place
US Girls Volleyball - 2nd Place
US Golf (Boys/Girls) - 2nd Place
US Girls Cross Country - 3rd Place
Jordan Baden - 1st Place (I ndividual title: IIAAG Girls Cross Country)
Ryan Lee, Masaki Ujiie -1st Place and 3rd, respectively (Individual title: IIAAG Boys Golf)
Anushka Basu - 3rd Place (Individual title: IIAAG Girls Golf)
Students Excel in Art Contests

Congratulations to the following students for winning in their respective contests:

Seungho Kang (9th grade) - 1st Place (East Asia & Oceania Regional Award: 12-15 age category) 

Carmel Maria Mariano - 2nd Place (2nd & 3rd grade category)
St. John's Musicians in the Gold-winning TBYO

Representing Guam in the 2019 Australian International Music Festival in Sydney, Australia, the Tumon Bay Youth Orchestra (TBYO), which consists of eight St. John's students,  performed with and competed against more than 1400 participants from July 4 th  to 11 th  in Sydney, Australia.
