We're Hoping for more Butterflies this year than we had in 2020
During April and May, Clyde started seeds in our greenhouse for Zinnias, Marigolds and Sunflowers. For the past week, we have been planting those flowers in the beds around our tasting house. We expect the butterflies to begin to show up in mid-June to early July and continue through October.

We've had a butterfly garden at Hiddencroft every summer since 2009. The butterflies have always been plentiful, however 2020 was the exception. We saw a drastic reduction in the number of all types of butterflies, especially the Monarchs. Possible explanations can be found here.
As always, we appreciate your continued interest in our winery. We look forward to another visit from you.

Sincerely,

Clyde & Terry Housel
