Hey there Palmetto Bay! Hope you are enjoying this slice of winter. ❄️ Click below for my video update.

Last week, the Village had it's regularly scheduled Zoning hearing. One of the items is one that many are following closely. You can click here for a Village recap of the meeting. Our next Regular Council Meeting is on February 7th. You can check out the agenda here.

This Thursday, February 3, the Village will participate in the final stage of the Governmental Dispute process mandated by Florida Statutes. This will be a mediation with Miami Dade County and the Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), conducted by retired Miami Dade County Circuit Judge John Thornton, who presided over our earlier mediation with the County. Like the earlier mediation, Thursday’s session will be conducted privately with representatives of the participating entities and their attorneys. Pursuant to Section 164.1055(2) and 164.1056 of the Florida Statutes, this will be the final state of the dispute resolution process. If the matter is not settled through this mediation, the Village will be free to litigate this matter at the direction the Council. Click here to see the recap from the Village's conflict resolution.

I will be hosting The Mayor is In office Hours this Friday from 3-5 pm. If you are out and about, stop in and say hi. No appointment is necessary. If that is not convenient for you, please reach out and we can schedule some time to chat in person or virtually at your convenience.

As always, I encourage you to stay tuned into reliable information sources. You can subscribe to the Village Newsletter by clicking here and of course, I am here to answer questions or lend a helping hand. I can also be reached at kcunningham@palmettobay-fl.gov or at 305-799-0695.  I look forward to seeing you in and around the Village. Together we are making Palmetto Bay a better place to live, work, learn, and play.

Warm regards,
