Congregants are invited for Fellowship on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:30. The worship leaders hold a rehearsal on Sunday mornings from 8:45-9:30, and ask that you join after the rehearsal has concluded. It is important that we have this uninterrupted and unobserved time to prepare for an excellent worship a 10:00. We love to see you for conversation at 9:30. Thank you for your understanding.

"Sankofa*, Looking Forward. Looking Back"
This will be Rev. Debra's last service with us as our Sabbatical Minister. Let's look at our brief journey together and plan for the future.

*Sankofa is an African word from the Akan tribe in Ghana. The literal translation of the word and the symbol is "it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind".
The Sankofa symbolizes the Akan people's quest for knowledge, with the implication that the quest is based on critical examination and intelligent and patient investigation.
The Bono Adinkra symbol is represented by a bird with its head turned backward while its feet face forward carrying a precious egg in its mouth.

legal and financial planning
The Adult RE Program welcomes estate attorney Emily Buchbinder to make a Zoom presentation with Q&A on end-of-life legal and financial issues, including legacy giving, on Thursday, February 3 from 11 am to 12 noon.
Emily J. Buchbinder is a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law with a Master in Law (LL.M.) Taxation. Her practice focuses on estate planning (Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directives, business and real estate succession planning) for individuals and couples with estates of all sizes. In addition, she has extensive experience in probate matters, trust and estate administration, business law, and tax.

Wings
In January, we will support Wings, a local organization helping people experiencing homelessness to get and stay housed.
Wings is a group of caring advocates from our community who are dedicated to supporting individuals in their walk out of homelessness. Working exclusively with professional case managers, Wings connects volunteers with homeless participants to help them obtain the resources needed to become housed and self-sufficient. But more importantly, Wings provide compassion and respect that instills confidence and ultimately shows participants that they can, indeed, succeed on their own.
