FALL IS HERE!
View from High Street Bridge by Sharon Callahan
Fall is here!… as we look forward to the rising of the Harvest Moon on Friday night! These warm September days are the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors… perhaps hiking in the nearby woodlands or stroll the Riverwalk on the banks of the Sugar River, cross over the Covered Bridge and wander down into Sunapee Harbor and simply relax and enjoy the lake view. Perhaps you’ll catch a glimpse of young Loons trying out their wings prior to their journey to the Atlantic for their first winter… or Canada Geese just stopping over as they travel south. For some awe inspiring “leaf peeping”… drive north to the White Mountains & travel the Kancamagus Hwy.

HEROS
Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary… not planned, but accidentally being in a situation where their brave or kind acts make them so regarded.

Many local heroes have surfaced in these past months since the pandemic turned our world upside down. Medical practitioners, essential workers who keep necessities of life available to us, those who shared their music & art warming our hearts & souls on a dark day & who make us smile… and the scores of people whose simple acts of kindness bring joy and comfort in dark times.  We all know a ‘hero’ who’s come forth… will you please share your story at: info@projectsunapee.org
