Advent Vespers Worship at Joy on Sunday Nights
We are trying something new. This year we will have a 1/2 hour
Advent Worship service on Sunday nights at
6:30pm starting Dec. 1. This will be an informal worship time to help us prepare for Christmas.
Each week we will also offer an
ADVENT-ure at 5:30
The ADVENT-ure will begin with a simple soup supper followed by a family-friendly Advent activity. On Dec. 1 we will work on making an Advent log to be used for your family devotions during the season of Advent. Also each family will receive a FREE
Advent kit (called Families Celebrate) with all kinds of resources and ideas to help you keep the focus the meaning of Christmas.
|
Looking Ahead To December
Sunday, December 22nd Advent Service will include a 'Quiet Christmas' for those who are grieving or want quiet reflection time.
We will have Worship Services at 3:00, 5:00 and 9:00 PM on Tuesday, December 24th. We typically have lots of visitors, making it important that we have ushers, greeters and communion assistants to serve. Consider worshiping at one and serving at another. You can sign up at the welcome desk. No Worship Service or activities on Christmas Day.
Sunday, December 29th, there will be one Blended Worship Service at 9:30 AM.
|
SUNDAY! First Communion Worship Service,

Congratulations To:
Charlie E. Nawrocki, Riley Frappier, Reid Frappier, Lillian Vesperman, Aubree Jo Kellogg, Avery Elizabeth Braun, Ella Jean Brantner, Ayla Peterson, Xarion Truth Larson and Carter Curtis Hood

Sunday Nov. 24 6:30pm
We, in the Prescott community, have been blessed in so many ways. We invite you to join with us for an ecumenical worship service, to pause, reflect and give thanks. TIS THE SEASON...
Even if it feels like January, we all know better. We are actually moving into the Advent Season and preparing for Christmas. Our Church library has many selections to get us into the mood. Whether it is watching a movie, listening to music or reading a good book while it is snowing outside, our library might have just what you are looking for. Check out the bulletin board for some possible ideas; then find them on the table in the library. Please check out your choices by leaving the signed card in the "Checkout" (blue) box. Place all returns in the "Return" container on the bottom shelf and the library committee will take care of them. Please return items in a timely manner so that others can also enjoy. Thank you. Joy's Library Committee.

If you enjoy the convenience of a smartphone there are a couple of apps you may want to consider;
One is the
Give+
app (which is a free download wherever to get your downloads) w
hich allows you to make a electronic gift from your bank account instead of swiping a credit card (the handlin
g charges are significantly less, so more of your gifts gets to us). You can us it for one time gifts or managed giving, and it is all integrated into your regular electronic
giving to Joy. click here for instructions.
You also now have the ability to set up a
member portal
with our church database. This portal can be made into an app so you can have instant access to your data (with the ability to make changes and give permissions, view the church photo directory, and
see and print your giving statement whenever you want). To create a portal, click
here. If you want to make your login into an app just check with the office.
