Blogging and Podcasting
as Evidence of Learning (3 CTLEs)
Blogging and Podcasting as Evidence of Learning” is a series of BYOD sessions to explore the creation of teacher or student websites, blogs, podcasts, etc. This could be a methodology for teachers to expand their professional learning networks (PLN), or have their students showcase/portfolio their learning.
Participants should bring a plan, theme, or topic for how they want to focus your blog or podcast. We will use a workshop model and template for brainstorming and designing your project(s). Once participants have a plan for what they’d like to create, we will work towards creating a foundation of content to meet this goal. We will begin with blogging, and transition into podcasting.
In subsequent sessions, we will have discussions around focusing content and aligning with goals. We will also develop rubrics for assessing student objectives, explore sharing/publishing content, curating work in a portfolio to show evidence of student growth, etc.
