Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School introduces new leadership initiative, “Bishop Leads”
The BMCHS leadership initiative, Bishop Leads, will cultivate an inclusive and engaged culture where all community members are guided by their faith and each voice is valued and empowered to continue to lead themselves and others as we are called to serve in a complex world in need of peace, love and justice.
Through enhanced learning activities, both curricular and extracurricular, students and faculty will be given opportunities to develop a stronger sense of self and stronger connections to others so that they may lead themselves, lead academically, lead with others and change our world. Bishop Leads will promote a community of learners who are confident, resilient, inspired and visionary.
Bishop Leads grew out of a partnership between Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School and the Center for Creative Leadership. CCL is a global leadership development educational nonprofit organization headquartered in Greensboro, NC. The goals of this multi-year collaboration include skills training, conversation, and opportunities for students to practice skills around leading self, leading academically, and changing their world.
Read Principal Shaw’s most recent blog post where she writes about Bishop Leads.
To learn more about this latest initiative at BMCHS, schedule a visit with Admissions Director, Kim Knox or add the date of the next Villain Walk of November 6
th at 9am to your calendar.
