Kelly Lester

is President-elect of NDEO and the Director for Faculty Development at the University of Southern Mississippi. As a Professor of Dance, Lester has been teaching fully online and hybrid dance courses since 2010. Her scholarship in somatic movement education has informed how she has approached and designed courses. Her recent work in faculty development at USM and with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) has broadened her reach in coaching faculty in teaching online. Lester will be featured in the upcoming ACUE course modules for teaching online, and on April 4, she will co-present with ACUE for the American Federation of Teachers.
Beth Megill,
MFA, Language of Dance

Specialist, and a Professor of Dance at Moorpark College with a specialty in modern, jazz, choreography, improvisation and dance literacy. She founded Megill & Company (MeCo) in 2001 with her sister Heather Reba and has produced a number of original musicals and evening length dance programs. As artistic director of the dance portion of MeCo, her goal is to create dance works that are vibrant, quirky, meaningful, intellectual and entertaining. Beth has designed and developed online curriculum for Dance Appreciation (published through Coast Learning Systems) and the Language of Dance (NDEO’s OPDI). She is a former president of California Dance Educators Association and frequently presents on dance literacy and jazz dance pedagogy at state and national conferences.
