Hello October!

This is the season for getting cozy and reading some good books under a blanket! Good news - we're getting new books in every day for you to take out and enjoy!

Holiday Closing
Please note that the library will be closed for the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, October 12th.
Curbside Pickup Details
  • Hours are Monday through Saturday 10 am – 1 pm
  • Patrons may call the library at 732-747-9649 to place holds for items or by using our online catalog
  • Holds are available for items owned by the Little Silver Library and the Monmouth County Library.
  • Patrons will receive a call when their item is available and will be held up to three days. 
  • Patrons are asked to call the library at 732-747-9649 to arrange for front table pickup.
  • All items must be returned in the bookdrop and shall be quarantined for 3 days for everyone’s safety.

Elder Financial Exploitation

Zoom Webinar
AARP New Jersey will be hosting a free webinar on October 1st at 12pm titled “Elder Financial Exploitation Webinar: Is this the crime of the 21st century?”

Paul Greenwood, a nationally recognized fraud fighting authority and retired deputy district attorney from San Diego, will discuss this growing scam. He will draw upon his 22 years of prosecuting crimes to provide tips on how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim. He will give examples of cases that he personally prosecuted and offer practical advice on how to stay safe from in-person and online predators looking to steal your hard-earned money.

"The Body" by Bill Bryson to be discussed Monday, Oct. 26 via Zoom.

Children's Storytime and Craft
As always, we have lots of fun storytime activities for the kids from Ms. Danya, Ms. Robin and the Monmouth County Library. You can find them here!

Ms. Danya has created "Take and Make Craft" kits for our littlest patrons to enjoy! They are available on the curbside pickup table in the library vestibule! Available while supplies last!
Book Drop
Our book drop is open if you want to return your books! Please only drop off library books. We cannot accept book donations at this time!
