Latest Updates from the State

The Regional Stay Home Order instructs Californians to stay at home as much as possible and to stop mixing between households that can lead to COVID-19 spread. It allows access to critical services and allows outdoor activities to preserve Californians’ physical and mental health. The Regional Stay Home Order will help stop the surge and prevent overwhelming regional ICU capacity.

As part of the Bay Area Region, Napa County remains above the 15% ICU Bed capacity threshold. With that said, our region's numbers have fallen drastically this week. Should we continue on this current trend, we should be prepared to receive the Regional Stay-At-Home Order in the coming days.

Please note that when this capacity threshold is met, the order will take affect for our region within less than 48 hours and last at a minimum of 3 weeks.

Napa County businesses still remain open at this time, but the following sectors should be prepared for closings and modifications to occur.

OPEN:
  • Critical infrastructure (when remote is not possible)
  • Schools that are already open for in-person learning
  • Non-urgent medical and dental care
  • Child care and pre-K

OPEN WITH MODIFICATIONS (in addition to 100% Masking & Physical Distancing)
  • Hotels & lodging - open for critical infrastructure support only
  • Restaurants - open only for take-out, pick-up, or delivery
  • Retail - 20% capacity indoors, and 35% of capacity for standalone grocery stores
  • Shopping Centers - 20% capacity, no eating or drinking
  • Outdoor recreational facilities - no food or alcohol sales
  • Places of worship or expression - outdoor only
  • Offices - remote only except for critical infrastructure sectors where remote work is impossible

CLOSURES:
  • Wineries, bars, breweries, and distilleries with the exception of production and retail sales
  • Hair salons and barbershops
  • Personal care services
  • Museums, zoos, and aquariums
  • Indoor recreational facilities
  • Movie theaters (except drive-in)
  • Family entertainment centers & indoor playgrounds
  • more
