Greetings!

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, so the saying goes. Are you lion or lamb? Do you like trend-setting styles, unusual accessories, strong bold colors and prints? Your style may be more "lion" than "lamb." If you prefer softer lines, classic accessories and muted or pastel colors your style may be more "lamb." Whether you are lion or lamb, you will want to come to my seminars this month and pick up some great tips on SW FL style and dressing according to your proportions and scale.

Some of my readers may not be aware that I moved my studio space into the IntegraLife Spa in The Terraces building. Same building, same floor, just a a new space. To celebrate the one year anniversary of our collaboration I will be presenting two seminars at IntegraLife Spa. Many of you have asked about seminars in the Fort Myers area - so by request - here you go. These seminars are open to the public but space is very limited so we must ask you to RSVP. On Thursday, March 26th I will be presenting "Six Steps to SW Florida Style" and on Tuesday,March 31st I will be presenting "It's All Relative." Both evenings will begin at 5:30 and go about an hour. Of course we will provide you refreshments as well - and maybe even some door prizes??? Call me at 239-454-0044 or call Susan at the spa 239-437-8386 to reserve a spot.

Hope to see you here!
Christine

Shopping with Stitch Fix
Many of you may be aware of shopping services such as Stitch Fix and Thred Up that provide clothing and accessories delivered to your door. Saves the time and trouble of shopping. Perhaps some of you have even tried one of these services. Shopping is never a problem for me - I can always make the time - but I wanted to test this service for you, my clients. So I tried Stitch Fix and here are my results.

I signed up and provided plenty of information as to size, color, style, my profession, how much I wanted to spend and what I hoped to get from them, etc. Each shipment has 4 clothing items and 1 accessory. In my first shipment I received a pair of fantastic Trina Turk black pants which I love. Its a great fabric, feels wonderful on the body, and a great fit. I also received a royal blue long-sleeved Calvin Klein silky blouse, which I kept. The other items were so "not me" it was ridiculous. So I sent them back with paragraphs (practically an essay) of why I didn't like them and wasn't keeping them and what I wanted out of the next shipment.

In the next shipment I kept a pair of gray casual slacks and sent everything else back with several more paragraphs of yada yada yada. In the third shipment I returned everything. They sent a pair of navy pants and a navy jacket from two different designers that did not match. And a pair of the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. When I sent everything back I cancelled my membership at the same time.

Would I recommend them? If you don't want to leave the house and you are okay with someone else "shopping" for you, you may like the experience. The packages come beautifully arranged and it is fun to see it on your doorstep and open it up. Very exciting. But I was looking for things that I wouldn't be able to find myself in SW FL - and that didn't happen. And, I found the Trina Turk pants online in navy and at $40 less than what I paid through Stitch Fix. (Of course I bought them!)

I may try another service and if I do, I'll be sure and report the results.

SIX STEPS TO SW FL STYLE!
IT'S ALL RELATIVE!
Did you know most women wear 20% of what's in their closet 80% of the time? There are six items every woman should have in her closet to get maximum use-ability. I'll be discussing these six key items, where to get them and how to use them in my seminar on March 26th at 5:30.

Here is the first item I'll be demonstrating - a white shirt (or could be off-white if that's your best white). For tips on why that item is so key and all the ways you will use it - join me on the 26th at 5;30 pm.

Proportion makes a difference. Learning where you are long and where you are short is important to creating a look and style that flatters you. Should your tops be worn out or always tucked in? Should your jackets and tops be elbow length, mid-forearm length, wrist length, or even longer? What's the best skirt length for you? Join me on March 31st at 5:30 and find out!
