University Budget Update
Dear Bengals,

It has been awe-inspiring to witness our campus community come together and transition our academic delivery and work environments. While our response to the COVID-19 virus has preoccupied our time, we are continuing to develop financial tools and resources for Idaho State University.

Capital Overview
As part of our desire to increase the fiscal awareness of our campus community, we began posting a series of informational videos in January. The first two segments focused on our revenues and expenses. This next segment turns our attention to the capital budget. I encourage you to take a few minutes to view this resource and share your questions and feedback with us at finance@isu.edu .

FY2021 Budget Development
This week, we received news from the State that appropriations are further reduced due to the economic implications of COVID-19; an additional 1% in FY2020 and 5% in FY2021. Although we remain on track with our overall budget development timeline, the Leadership Council will be developing guidance for units to reassess (and reduce) budgets based on our new economic reality. This information will be shared the week of April 6.

I am confident that through a common understanding of our financial picture combined with our collective ingenuity and tenacity, we can solve these challenges together. Thank you for your partnership.
