Hispanic Heritage
Month assembly and dress up day

Our Hispanic Heritage Month assembly will take place on Monday, October 28th at 9AM in the AAC. 

Students are invited to wear any Hispanic/Latin authentic attire or sports jersey with uniform bottoms on Monday in celebration of our Hispanic Heritage Month assembly.
ANNUAL JACK-O-LANTERN CONTEST
Our deadline to submit entries has now passed, and we cannot wait to see all of the creative jack-o-lantern design submissions!

Pumpkins can be dropped off in front of the main office:
Monday & Tuesday 7:30 am - 9:00 am OR 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Wednesday 7:30 am - 9:00 am
 
ABSOLUTELY NO DROP OFFS AFTER 9:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY.
VOLLEYBALL PLAYOFFS
Our Volleyball Gold team has made it to the playoffs this weekend, and our Volleyball Green team is undefeated and has an automatic spot in the championship game. The girls would love your support to cheer them on!

All games will take place on Saturday, October 26th at 2008 North Goldenrod Road. The gym is located in the back of the property.

Division A:  Court 1

Park Maitland Gold - vs. TCA Red 
Orangewood - Bye

Winner of  9:00  game will play Orangewood in the championship 


Division B: Court 2

TCS White vs. TCA White
Park Maitland Green - Bye

Winner of  9:00  game will play Park Maitland Green in the championship 

5th and 6th grade students can earn extra credit for attending. Be sure to check in with Mr. Courson or Ms. Kohn at the games.

VETERAN'S DAY ASSEMBLY
We would like to honor our veterans by inviting them to attend a special "Veteran's Day" assembly at 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 12th! If you or your family members that are veterans would like to attend this special event, please fill out the below form by Tuesday, Oct. 29th so that formal invitations may be sent by mail.
 
We wish that we had the space to invite all of our families, but space is very limited during assemblies, and we must limit attendance to veterans and their families only.

Park Maitland students have been working hard on their  Young Masters original artwork in their art classes! This program is an annual tradition where student artwork is displayed on a wide variety of products which can be purchased for friends and family to enjoy.

The 2019 Orlando Maker Faire is approaching! Come out on Saturday & Sunday, November 9th & 10th, 2019, at the Central Florida Fairgrounds! Maker Faire Orlando is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these makers to show hobbies, experiments, and projects. It is coined the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth – a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Park Maitland 3rd-6th graders are designing and hosting their own creative booths! Sign-ups for these students will be released soon from 3rd-6th grade Design Thinking teachers! K-4 - 2nd grade students are encouraged to attend the Maker Faire, come by the Park Maitland booths, and enjoy the Faire too!

K-4 and K-5 students had a fa-boo-lous time during their Halloween Fun Day festivities.
Ms. T is loving her new role... She dressed up as Tinkering Bell for Halloween Fun Day!
3rd graders in ESW showcased their good sportsmanship, collaboration, and social skills while practicing book trivia!
First Graders planted carrots and beans in the garden!
1st graders worked hard in ESW identifying the rhyme scheme of a poem.
The Halloween fun continued for K-4 and K-5 students in Ms. Nepple's Science & Social Studies class, where they created spoooooky jack-o-lanterns!
