More than 100 QCH staff, participants, family members and friends marched in the 27th Annual Queens Pride Parade in Jackson Heights on June 2 in support of our Queens Center for Gay Seniors and Generation Q LGBTQ youth program. Queens Pride was on full display!

On May 24, our Spring Showcase brought down the house at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center. Participants from our school-based afterschool programs were showcased through slam poetry, cultural dances, instrumental arrangements and other performances.

On May 31, older community members were given the opportunity to network with potential employers at the 6th Annual 55+ Job Fair, co-hosted by QCH and State Senator Joseph Addabbo.

On May 20, our Access For Young Women Program hosted its 20th Annual Youth Leadership Conference. Girls spent the spring preparing issues-based workshops on topics ranging from global warming to racism.

Our Pomonok Senior Center, located at 67-09 Kissena Boulevard, is looking for Volunteers to help with outreach efforts. Duties include passing out flyers and representing QCH at tabling events and fairs. RSVP to Stefanie at sjackowitz@qchnyc.org for more details.
