HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS VIDEO STEAMING
VIDEO STREAMING OF HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS
"CRAWL - WALK - RUN"
Bill Countryman - owner of KICM Radio in Ardmore, Oklahoma

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND @ 3:00 PM ET
With a dramatically changing media landscape, many radio stations are adding video streaming to their radio broadcasts of High School sports with the realization that without video streaming enhancement, others may migrate to this new form of visual delivery that many fear may significantly diminish radio’s audio-only value.

  • Why you may want to consider video streaming
  • How to video stream
  • How to monetize your video stream

Small market radio owner Bill Countryman has been video streaming High School sports on his Oklahoma radio stations for the past nine (9) years. He currently streams eight (8) High Schools along with numerous other events. In this webinar he will share why he feels video streaming is now necessary while teaching you how to do it efficiently and inexpensively.

This free webinar is recommended for all radio personnel who want to compete and win in the High School Sports arena.

Join us at 3:00 PM ET, Tuesday, September 22nd via this live link: http://www.citylinktv.com/channel/ardmore-ok-kicm-tv/
ALAN CUTLER RELEASES NEW BOOK
WANTS TO APPEAR ON YOUR TALK SHOW
Alan Cutler, the former long-time sports anchor-reporter at LEX18, is back in the news. The man best known for chasing Billy Gillispie down the hallway on the day he was fired has written a book—called, appropriately, CUT TO THE CHASE. The flamboyant New York native first arrived in Lexington in 1981, left for top-rated KDKA-TV and KDKA-AM in Pittsburgh in 1984, before returning to the Bluegrass three years later for an amazing run as the most dominant sportscaster in his viewing region. He retired in 2018 after the Kentucky Derby, one of his loves.

“Over the years, I’ve been able to interview a lot of newsworthy people,” Cutler said at the outset of the project. “I’m not trying to brag, but it’s something I know I’m good at—it’s a gift. People seem to open up to me, and I’ve accumulated a lot of interesting and entertaining stories along the way.”
CUT TO THE CHASE is currently available on Amazon. Both Alan and John welcome requests for either individual or joint interviews and/or appearances from your media outlet.

NAB RELEASES NEW "WE ARE BROADCASTERS'' RADIO & TV SPOTS
America's broadcast radio and TV stations are the pulse of our communities - delivering critical news and information, weather and emergency updates and entertainment that connect and inspire us.

Now more than ever, what you do for your communities is vital.
In the past six months our country has been devastated by a global pandemic, civil unrest has reached a fever pitch, hurricanes and wildfires have ravaged communities and we've embarked on one of the most bitter and raucous political elections of our lifetime.

In recognition of broadcasters' critical role, NAB is providing new We Are Broadcasters spots for radio and TV stations that showcase the importance of our local stations. We urge you to download and air these spots as often as possible to send a strong message to policymakers and remind your audiences why they turn to broadcasters for the information they trust.
