December 2020 Monthly Minutes
A Message from Child Care Aware of NH
Hello Providers,

We hope that you had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. November certainly brought many things for Child Care Aware of NH powered by Southern New Hampshire Services to be thankful for. We launched our new website, hosted three Special Events, a myriad of trainings and Early Childhood Focused Collaboratives. We have had the opportunity to work with providers through technical assistance, and we continue to support families in finding care. Overall, the CCAoNH team is grateful to have the opportunity to work with the providers and families of NH.

The Child Care Resource and Referral Outreach Specialists have spent a lot of time supporting program administrators/providers with the new NH Child Care Search Portal. They continue to assist directors in gaining access to the new system. The Outreach Specialists have joined the LiveChat team and are now available to answer questions through this feature on our website. They continue to give referrals to families seeking child care and help families with remote learning options.

The Training and TA Specialists are busy offering professional development opportunities in a variety of different ways to providers all around the State. They are facilitating trainings and hosting Early Childhood Focused Collaboratives. In December, we have two Special Events coming up, the A.C.T. Training Series and the Infant and Toddler Institute. Look below for more information about these upcoming events.

Looking into the new year, CCAoNH has a few treats coming your way. We will be hosting an e-conference, Keys to Quality as well as another Special Event, Classroom Management: Successful Encounters. We will also be unveiling a new feature on the website starting in 2021.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you do for families and children. We hope that you enjoy this month's edition of Monthly Minutes.

CCAoNH Online Registration Process
CCAoNH has enacted several measures to our online Zoom trainings to ensure that any potential hacking is minimized.

  • The morning of the online Zoom professional development, participants will receive an email with the Zoom URL Code to join the professional development opportunity and the link to the evaluation to complete following the training.
  • A reminder email will be sent either one hour before the training or by 4:00 PM the day of the training for evening professional development.
  • Notices will be sent to the email that is in the participant's NH Professional Registry.
  • To join the training the participant will click on the Zoom Code. After clicking on the link, the participant will be asked to fill in their name, email, and organization before clicking on the button to enter the meeting. By filling in this information, this will create an online sign in sheet to prove attendance.
  • For best viewing and participation in this collaborative, please use a device with a screen, speakers and a camera.

Professional Development Hours will be provided to all those participants who are viewing the webinar live and are registered in the NH Professional Registry. Your training transcript will reflect this within two business days.
