MCBOE Moves from Required Masking to Recommended Masking

News Release                                                                   May 11,  2021

The Monroe County Board of Education took action to move masking from required to recommended for all students and staff effective immediately. The vote was 5-2 on the masking action. This includes all school buildings, grounds, and on the bus.

Superintendent Mike Hickman made the recommendation to the board after reviewing the latest trends with Covid cases in Monroe County. If parents have questions or concerns, they should contact their child's school.
