Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Dear Early Learning Provider,
 
We want to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for each of you, as partners, as we move through this evolving situation.
The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County will remain vigilant in providing accurate and timely information regarding child care in Palm Beach County. We will be increasing our communication with you during this time. Each email will be time stamped at the top so you can always see the latest update.

Lastly, if you are a director of a school, please update the owner of the school and your staff with this information. You receive this email because you are the designee for Early Learning Coalition communication; please share this information within your sphere of influence.

Important Updates or Calls to Action - 3/16/2020 - 1:49pm

  • Office of Early Learning: ELCPBC has been active in our communication with OEL and as soon as we have an update regarding temporary closures and similar questions; we will update you immediately.
  • Provider Warm Line Now Open! Please call 1.877.767.4659 for any child care questions. This warm line will remain open until the crisis has subsided.
  • Family Resource Line is Open for Families! Please encourage families to call our resource line for support. 561.514.3300
  • Provider Assistance: We are here to help. Please call the warm line number if we can be of assistance to you.
  • Accepting Additional Students: If you are able to accept additional school-age children, please call our Provider Warm Line {1.877.767.4659}. Our Family Resource Line {561.514.3300} can refer parents to schools accepting additional school-age children.
  • Closing your school: Similarly, if you do choose to close your program, please contact both the Coalition offices and the Department of Health, Division of Child Care Licensing at 561-837-5900 with updates.
  • Emergency Operations: The Early Learning Coalition is continuing to keep in close contact with the Office of Early Learning and will advise you of any new information as it becomes available.

Lastly, please share with parents and families --
  • PBC School Food Services will be offering "Grab & Go" meals at 30 school locations throughout the district. Meals will be distributed from 11:00am-1:00pm and are free to anyone under the age of 18 years old, regardless of financial need. Link to Feeding Sites During School Closure
