CLIENT ADVISORY
Terminal Operating System Upgrade
Feb. 18, 2022

Good afternoon,
As a valued member of the Georgia Ports Authority team, we are sharing important information with you regarding an upcoming technology transition at Garden City Terminal. In the best interest of our customers and community, GPA always strives to modernize our facilities so that we can continue to grow, innovate, and serve you well into the future.

GPA will upgrade the current terminal operation system, SPARCS/Express, to the newest Navis N4 system this spring. The Navis N4 system is tested and active at some of the largest marine container terminals across the globe. In fact, the upgraded system is in use at 59 terminals in North America and 389 terminals around the world, including right here in Savannah. GPA first implemented N4 in August 2018 with the opening of the Appalachian Rail Port (ARP) and again in February 2021 when the expanded container operation came online at Ocean Terminal.

This is the first of many updates that you will be receiving from GPA over the coming months. We plan to keep you informed at every step of this transition so that you can make timely decisions for your organization, customers, and employees.

If you would like to opt into text alerts providing updates on the Navis N4 system: Text GPAN4 to 888-777. You may also invite others to sign up for email notifications through our website at www.gaports.com/N4/.

Should you have questions at any point, please reach out to the GPA Customer Service Center at 912-963-5526 or csv@gaports.com. You may also use our Chat feature through our website, www.gaports.com. Our Chat is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
