Just the Facts Book Club
Our Just the Facts Book Club is discussing great new nonfiction titles! Join us as we discuss World Travel: An Irreverent Guide by Anthony Bourdain on Tuesday, January 25 at 11:00 am via Zoom.
Anthony Bourdain saw more of the world than nearly anyone. In World Travel, a life of experience is collected into an entertaining, practical, fun and frank travel guide that gives readers an introduction to some of his favorite places—in his own words. Featuring essential advice on how to get there, what to eat, where to stay and, in some cases, what to avoid, World Travel provides essential context that will help readers further appreciate the reasons why Bourdain found a place enchanting and memorable.
Every day is a good day to checkout a picture book and spend time reading with the children in your life! Our Tumblebook library is an online collection of audio/visual picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.
Kids can take part in this high-flying challenge by building a paper airplane and putting it to the test! Families: stop by either library location any time between 2:00 and 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 29 to create your best paper airplanes and test them against other attendees.
