This partnership furthers the county’s commitment to creating a healthy and civically engaged community.

“It is proven that early CPR and the early use of an AED increases the survivability of a sudden cardiac arrest,” said Chief Deputy Fire Marshal Sal Luciano. “PulsePoint gives our residents and visitors the ability to know when a cardiac arrest is occurring close by, locate AEDs in the area, and perform potentially lifesaving CPR while our personnel respond to the scene.”

This past year, Chesterfield Fire and EMS responded to over 47,000 calls for service, including over 300 cardiac arrest events. Chesterfield citizens can play a role and be a life saver by downloading the two PulsePoint apps: PulsePoint Respond and PulsePoint AED.
