Roslyn Public Schools
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
Dear Roslyn Families,

Beginning Tuesday, September 15, 2020, the turf field at Roslyn High School will be closed until further notice. This is a result of the frequent reports we have had about a lack of social distancing and noncompliance of our safety protocols. On numerous occasions, I've had to pull staff away from their priorities to address overcrowding, and I've heard from many residents who are concerned that this behavior will jeopardize all we've put into place to reopen our schools.

This pandemic isn't over. As we head into fall, we must become even more vigilant of the recommended health and safety protocols so that we can continue to keep in-person classes available to our students. I fully understand that the limitations on everyone's activities is hard, but please remember that education is the primary focus of our district.

The track and tennis courts will remain open and can be used by residents of our community outside of school hours as long as social distancing guidelines and safety protocols are adhered to when using either of these facilities. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Sincerely,

Allison Brown
Superintendent of Schools
