It’s incredible to think that the recent wildfires raging on the west coast could impact our skies thousands of miles away in New Jersey. The uniquely unusual sunrises and sunsets we experienced in the past month, like the sunrise pictured above, were the result of the fires blazing in western United States. This is yet another reminder of how far reaching the impacts of environmental change truly are.
MCF’s recently produced “Our Natural World” video illustrates the immediacy of the need to preserve land and protect our environment locally and globally. We invite you to watch the video by following this link.
Last but not least, a big thank you to all those that joined us for our Drive-In movie fundraiser at Bell Works. This event was a fun and safe evening that supported our mission. We are very grateful to our many sponsors and supporters for their generosity and dedication to the cause.
35 forested acres in Howell Township, originally approved for a nine lot residential subdivision, will now be protected forever. MCF, in partnership with the state Green Acres Program, and Howell Township, will ensure the land remains preserved as open space. This is one of many preservation projects MCF is working on throughout the county.
For more information about preservation in your area, please contact our office at (732) 671-7000.
