Western New Mexico University Career Services is hosting a pair of events to boost candidates’ chances at getting hired and match businesses with professionals who are a fit for their needs.
READY
A New Mexico Workforce Department panel on Thursday, November 14, trains students and community members to successfully prepare for jobs. In the WNMU Miller Library, the panel starts at 3 p.m. and ends with free pizza at 6 p.m.
SET
A career fair at W-N-M-U on Wednesday, December fourth, allows job seekers to apply for positions with businesses that are currently hiring and walk into job interviews on the spot. The career fair will take place in conjunction with the WNMU Student Research Symposium in the Intramural Gym from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and interviews will be conducted in a neighboring room.

This training provided by WNMU Career Services is intended to populate the local workforce and launch students’ careers while also raising the employ-ability of area residents.
