The wholesale auto auction space is about 20 million in annual sales, and approximately 10 million of that is digital. The traditional brick and mortar auctions like Mannheim and ADESA still draw many dealers to their locations and will continue to serve dealers for years to come, but the digital space will continue to capture more market share in the future. WHY? Because simply, it is a more cost effective way to bring product to market and reach more customers nationwide.

California AG releases proposed CCPA regulations

On October 10, 2019, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra released proposed regulations to implement the California Consumer Privacy Act. These regulations focus on one aspect of the CCPA, the consumer’s new rights under the law, and give businesses guidance on how to effectuate these rights and comply with the law. This now triggers the process of public comment and finalization of the rule, which will extend into 2020.
