The following is an update from the district regarding the plans being put into place to assist families and employees during the COVID-19 situation. At the time this was distributed, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Republic. As a reminder, the district will be closed through April 3, 2020. We invite you to visit https://www.republicschools.org/healthupdates for the latest information from Republic School District.
What will learning look like in the coming weeks?
As stated before, we understand that school can not be replicated. However, our district will be working on resources to support students in their learning while we are closed. Teachers and staff will be meeting next week to develop alternative learning options for students. When we have finalized details those will be shared with you next week.

Free Meal Option During COVID-19 Closure
Republic School District will be providing free, daily grab-and-go food lunch pick-up at Republic Middle School beginning Wednesday, March 25 and other designated locations across the community (scheduled/locations below) starting Monday, March 30 for any Republic school-aged children. This service will be available Monday-Friday. Once we are able to gauge participation and need, we will work to expand offerings.
To assist us in planning for this service, please fill out the form below as soon as possible if you plan to participate.

Childcare for Healthcare and Emergency/First Responders Available
Republic School District will offer free childcare for healthcare workers and emergency/first responders during their work hours who reside in the Republic School District while school is closed. Operating hours will be Monday through Friday of each week beginning Monday, March 23 between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at McCulloch Elementary. Kindergarten through 8th grade students can participate. Only those pre-registered using the form link below will be accepted.

Snacks will be provided each day. Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24 participants will need to bring their own lunch. However, beginning Wednesday, March 25 the district will provide a free lunch option for students. We do suggest that students with food allergies bring their own meals.

This service is designed for those working at hospitals, medical facilities, or blood banks who are directly engaged in the handling of the COVID-19 response during the time they are needed at work.  We are asking that individuals refrain from using this service unless they are directly involved in the COVID-19 response actions at a medical facility. These restrictions will allow us to have the capacity to best serve our medical community in fighting COVID-19.

Medications at School
Parents who need to pick up their child's medication should contact the school building to coordinate a pick-up time and location with the school nurse. School buildings will be locked down over the next few weeks and only planned visitors will be allowed to enter.

Visitor Restrictions
All school buildings and facilities will be closed to visitors during this closure. If you need to visit any of our facilities for any reason, please contact us in advance to arrange plans.
Kindergarten Screening & Preschool Enrollment Postponed
