Dear AFPDC Colleagues,
I hope this email finds you healthy and in good spirits. Remember that this is a marathon not a sprint and our nonprofits and beneficiaries need us.
As a chapter and community, we are committed to supporting you and your missions during this unprecedented time. I am therefore pleased to share the following updates:
COVID-19 Resource Page
AFPDC has created a
dedicated page on our website
of curated resources for you as fundraisers and nonprofit leaders. We know time is precious and the demands you face have grown exponentially in a matter of days. This central resource page features tip sheets from DC Chapter members as well as links to other sources of fundraising guidance we respect. This page
will be updated
as we receive additional resources, so check back often.
Ask a Consultant
We have also set up a special email inbox for 1:1 advice. If you have questions or concerns that can’t be addressed through other resources, email us at
info@afpdc.org
and a member of our Consultants Affinity Group will respond. We are grateful to our member consultants for giving their time and expertise pro bono.
Upcoming
Webinars
On Friday, 3/20/20, at 10:00am we will hold our first webinar focusing on the implications of COVID-19 on the fundraising and nonprofit landscape. This webinar will feature:
Todd West, Vice President, CCS—discussing overall fundraising advice during crises.
Laura Gross, Scott Circle Communications—offering tips on how to handle crisis communications.
John R. Strout, Webster, Chamberlain & Bean, LLP—highlighting legal implications COVID-19 may have on nonprofits.
And since this emergency reaches into every aspect of nonprofit management, we are organizing a few additional webinars. Upcoming webinars will focus on HR issues, board and governance-related implications, and a senior leader-only discussion about short and long-term factors to consider following COVID-19. Details on these will follow in separate communications.
How Else Can We Support You?
Now that we are in total distancing and are mostly all remote working, staying connected with each other is more important than ever. If you feel a virtual meeting to ask questions and share advice with each other would be helpful, please reach out to
me
directly and we will get one scheduled. And, of course, please let me know if there is any other way AFPDC can support your fundraising.
Thank you for all you are doing to keep our nonprofit sector strong. We are committed to standing with you in these uncertain times. Stay well and safe.
With gratitude,
