Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost
EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2019
In Sunday’s Gospel text we hear that Jesus heals ten lepers, and only one returns to give thanks and praise God.

Happening Around the Church . . .
Annual Appeal Pledge Forms! Many of you have turned in your annual appeal pledge forms. Thank you! And a special thanks to those who felt called to increase their pledge. Alas, some of us are still working on the form. Please be kind to our treasurer: complete the form and turn it in. In November we will turn our attention to our many ministries and the opportunities available to serve.

Episcopal Church in Connecticut Annual Convention, Sunday October 27. Convention Eucharist in Hartford at 11:00am. Only one service of Morning Prayer at St. Andrew’s at 9:30 a.m.  As many of us as are able are encouraged to attend worship at the diocesan convention in Hartford – please see details below.  Come worship with your sisters and brothers across Connecticut at the Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford, CT and hear the Good News as proclaimed by the Rt. Rev. Barbara Harris, the first woman to be consecrated a bishop in the Anglican Communion. Our venue this year allows us the unique opportunity to hold a worship service where all are welcome to attend and take part in our sacramental life. Prior to worship, there will be a light breakfast offered at the Convention Center for all attendees, an excellent opportunity to connect with your fellow Episcopalians from around the state. Registration for Sunday is free but requires separate registration from your Convention registration. Anyone who wishes to participate in worship at this year's Annual Convention needs to reserve a spot for themselves using https://conventionworship2019.eventbrite.com/.

Saturday October 19, 2019 -- Clean-Up Day at St. Andrew's from 9:00am-1:00pm. Please join us to help tend the buildings and grounds. Even an hour of your time would be much appreciated. We will work on small and big projects and many hands make light work!
