WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER!
NECESSARY ECONOMIC RELIEF FOR THOSE IMPACTED

As you already know, we face unprecedented challenges. We are challenged not only by what we know but also by what we do not know. Circumstances and conditions were not of our making, but we must respond locally.

There will be, at the very least, many inconveniences and changes to parts of our lives so important. For some, sadly, the virus may be far more than an inconvenience. We hope and pray everyone we know and their extended families stay healthy. We know the economic and personal impacts are real.

We also know we will make decisions only to have those decisions changed the next day as we gather more information or guidelines are changed for our communities. Please follow the updates.

In Sunrise, we will ensure the tow-lines between each of us do not slack.  We will show compassion and empathy for others even as we worry for ourselves. And, we will get through this together.

Our first responders and those in our community who work in the health care fields are already heroes to us – and now, they are truly on the front lines. We also know, everyone in our Sunrise family is playing that role of hero – from keeping essential city operations functioning, to fielding the concerns and needs of our community, to working together to help save lives of those we have not met.

LOCAL BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTS
ALREADY RESPONDING WITH COMPASSION

Thank you to those businesses who have reached out to us to volunteer their help.  Together, we will endure. Together, we will come out the other side stronger knowing what we can overcome. Together, we will learn about the best in ourselves and others.

ECONOMIC RELIEF FOR COMMUNITIES

We are looking at every manner in which we may be able to help those impacted in our community.  We know the impacts are real. We know we have limitations and need real help from our County, State and Federal partners.

At the Federal Level, the House passed sweeping legislation this past Saturday to respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak battering the nation, an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote to expand access to free testing, provide $1 billion in food aid and extend sick leave benefits to vulnerable Americans.

We have asked for helpful information and guidance from our Congressional and Senate representatives. Once we know what this means for our community we will send information and provide resources to help you understand if you can access Federal economic relief.

See bill which is expected to be taken up in the Senate as early as today.

Also, the U.S. Small Business Administration provided a response with some programs. We will be getting more information as we understand the scope and accessibility of this assistance.
