Cypress Creek High School

This past week we already completed five full weeks of the first quarter of 2020-2021. We are now offering families the opportunity to examine their current learning platforms, either Face-to-Face or LaunchEd@home.  If you feel your high school child needs to change, you can request it at this time. Changes will not start until the second marking period, which begins on October 13th. Please carefully consider any move, as your child's schedule will change in more ways than just the platform. It is quite possible, as we continue to focus on student and faculty safety, that a schedule will change teachers, periods, lunches and even courses (especially electives).

To make a change from Face-to-Face to LaunchEd@home and vice versa, you will need to request the educational model change using the Cypress Creek Survey found on our website or through social media. You will need to fill out a new survey for each child.

The deadline to submit your request is next Friday, 9/18/2020. We will not be able to honor any requests after that date. All schedule changes are non-refundable. You will need to be comfortable with the choice until January. You will have another opportunity to evaluate your child's learning platform at the semester break.

And, as always, stay safe and have a Beartastic Day!

Q: College background?
A: I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science Education, and I have an Associate of Nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your work?
A: My favorite aspects of my position here at CCHS reflect the unpredictability and autonomy similar to the comments mentioned earlier.

Q: Hobbies, interests?
A: My hobbies and interests include spending time with my husband and one son at home at UCF and the occasional opportunity to visit our other son who just graduated from the Air Force Academy and our four dogs, Bishop, Finley, Libby and Mocha.

A: The current book I am reading is by Mary L. Trump, "Too Much and Never Enough."

Q: Anything else?
A: It is a pleasure to be here!

Club sponsors are working hard to make sure that their clubs are still up-and-running this year, despite not being on campus. We want to make sure every kid on campus has the opportunity to be a part of something special, and with 59 clubs this year they have a lot of choices!
