Coastal Success!

T he Shin Shin Foundation brought 26 volunteers to participate in Coastal Cleanup day at TISC!

A Big thanks to them for helping to keep trash out of our Oceans and Stewardship Alive!

We walked approximately 1 mile of shoreline from TISC to Clipper Cove beach and collected 76 pounds of trash along the shoreline! The group collected over 2,000 cigarette butts and the most interesting items were; a cleat from an old dock, an inflatable raft discarded in the trees, and a toy car!

Next year will be even bigger, mark your calendars!

National Blind Sports Day

October 6th was National Blind Sports day and was celebrated here thanks to BlindSail SF Bay.

The BBQ made it extra special and was a nice touch to the end of Visual Impaired Sailing season here at TISC. The volunteers and sailors are an important part of our community. Check out Blind Sail SF for information or how to volunteer.
Siebel Sailors Program

We were able to launch the RS Feva's this past weekend and see how the kids handled them. It was so exciting to see them excel in this boat and fly spinnakers!

We look forward to seeing how this program grows and expands the sport of sailing!

Upcoming Events
Fall Adult Sailing

The weather couldn't be better! Get out on the water to learn the sport, practice your skills so you can level up, or come down for a day of sailing.

TISC shuts down during the rainy season so get out while you still can!

Program Highlight
SF Community School, SFUSD
Sailing to Save the Sea

We are in full swing here at TISC educating our next generation and getting them hooked on sailing.

As issues of climate change, plastics in our oceans, and access to clean water dominate our news-feeds, SFUSD 5th graders                participate in direct action by cleaning up our shoreline and educating others.

Check out our website to see what they have been up to!

Thanks to our grant supporters for making all of this possible.
