Woodbridge Libraries are members of
reciprocal borrowing group MURAL
Woodbridge Township library cards are accepted in nearly fifty Middlesex and Union County libraries to borrow materials. Municipal libraries are generally open to public use, but through the MUtual Reciprocity Among Libraries Agreement (MURAL), a Woodbridge Township Library card will be welcomed for lending and additional services determined by each library. More details and contact information are available on the WPL home page.

Dear Library Friends and Patrons,

WPL welcomes you to visit our Main, Fords, Henry Inman and Iselin locations. Please click HERE for hours by location. At this time the library remains on summer hours. We will alert everyone in this eNews of a change in hours. Guidelines for your visit are on our home page, HERE.

The library staff has planned virtual programs for summer reading enjoyment and enrichment. We encourage you to continue to monitor Woodbridge Township Health Department news via the Mayor's Code Red announcements and CDC updates to guide your use of library resources and programs.

Here are some updates about new and continuing services:

  • Due dates that occurred during the closing for COVID-19 with the exception of Wi-Fi hot-spots have had due dates were extended until the Summer Loan period ends, September 11. Fines will accrue after this date.
  • WPL does not charge late fees for overdue materials while the libraries are closed.
  • Book drops are open 24/7 in the Fords, Henry Inman and Iselin Branch libraries should you wish to make sure the books are returned without entering. We are checking books after a 72 hour quarantine, but no fees are charged for the 72 hour hold period.
  • Librarians continue to staff a Chat Information service from 10 am - 8 pm, Monday through Thursday and 10 am - 6 pm on Fridays.
  • Library staff members are monitoring the Ask-A-Librarian e-mail service to update library cards and are happy to assist with digital resources.
  • Library staff members are creating and sharing informational and educational social media posts. If you don't follow us yet, this would be a great time to like us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Please do not hesitate to click HERE to fill out a survey to let us know if we have been able to provide you with library services while the buildings were closed.

On behalf of the Woodbridge Public Library Board and Library Staff, I wish you health and safety, and welcome you to visit the Woodbridge Libraries.

Stay well,
