District Updates



Open School Board Seat. The LJSD Board of Trustees has an open seat due to the resignation of long-time Trustee Dr. Linda Kelley. LJSD Board of Trustees intends to make an appointment at the April 6, 2022, Regular Board Meeting.

Interested candidates must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of California, a resident of Lakeside Joint School District, a registered voter, and who is not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of California from holding a civil office. Applications are available on the district website. Applications are due to the Lakeside Joint School District office by Friday, March 25th at 4:00 pm.

School Updates

Lakeside's Drama Production of Lady Foxxhound's Rubies is Well Underway! Students have started memorizing their lines, learning new songs and soon will begin dress rehearsals! Tentative evening performance will be on Thursday, 3/24. Save the Date!

If you have a child who is eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (turns 5 between 9/1- 12/1) or Kindergarten (turns 5 before 9/1), email us ASAP to get them on the list before enrollment opens to the larger community. Lakeside Foundation Updates

Read-A-Thon Pledges Happening NOW. Register your child and make a donation request by 2/18 in order to be entered into a raffle for a $25 Barnes & Nobles Gift card!

Dine Out Willow Street Los Gatos. 2/28. Support LSCF while enjoying a night off from cooking! Willow Street’s Los Gatos location will donate 20% of all food and beverage orders all day on 2/28. Must show flyer. Orders placed through 3rd party sites do not count towards this fundraiser.

Yearbook Cover Contest. Due 3/4. All Lakeside students are invited to participate in the Yearbook Cover Contest. The winner will be selected by LSCF and select school staff members. Other entries will be used throughout the yearbook. Please be sure to include all the elements requested in the handout for the entry to qualify.

We Need Auction Volunteers. Even with our auction format change we need help with creating class projects, soliciting donations, data entry and technical support. Consider volunteering for our largest fundraising event. Sign up or email us.

LSCF Needs New Members Now. LSCF cannot continue beyond June 30th if we do not get at least 1 new board member to meet our minimum requirement of 5 members. New members coming on board now would be able to learn how and why things are done the way are they and allow for an easier ramp up. If you'd like to make an impact on your child's education come join a Foundation meeting and see what we are all about.
