A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR KLING
|
|
The month of May is extremely busy and full of ways to honor and celebrate various people, organizations and activities in our life. Just this week alone, it is National Municipal Clerk's Week, Teacher Appreciation Week, Small Business Week, International Firefighters' Day, Cinco de Mayo, National Day of Prayer, National Nurse's Day, School Lunch Hero Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day and don't forget Mother's Day is Sunday! We all have so much on our plates and so much to carry. If you're feeling overwhelmed or stressed by the busyness of life, I want to encourage you to hang in there!
Mothers play such a pivotal role in our lives and with Mother's Day on Sunday, I wanted to publically honor my mother. She is my hero and role model. She has a spiritual foundation in the Lord and is a pillar of strength and encouragement to me and our family. I miss living close to her but hope I can walk out my life as she has: without complaint and as a faithful and humble servant to the God we love.
Happy Mother's Day!
-Mayor Debbie Kling

We wish you the very best. Also honored was Robert (Bob) Crisman, third from left, who has faithfully served Nampa Civic Center customers for 23 years.
