Jacksonville, FL - On September 1 st Category 5 Hurricane Dorian slammed into the Bahamas and stalled for five days. No one was immune from the images of misery from the islands.

While Florida was spared, Dorian hit close to home: The Amelia’s 2000 Honoree Brian Redman and wife Marion were trapped on Marsh Harbor by Dorian. Updates from their son James brought the ugly realities of Hurricane Dorian to our front door. Naturally, we wanted to help the people of the Bahamas and do it as quickly as possible.

Thanks to your generosity we were able to provide meaningful help.

“Offering the opportunity to buy tickets for the Silver Anniversary Amelia Concours for $125 with $50 of each ticket sale going to Bahamian hurricane relief seemed the fastest and most efficient way to send aid,” said Brian Webber, Executive Director of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. “We weren’t disappointed. By October 15 th nearly 100 of our customers had stepped up to help for a total of $4,200. Thank you all.”

Advance sale tickets to the Silver Anniversary Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance on March 8, 2020 are still available for $100 at ameliaconcours.org until January 31, 2020.
