During the busy holiday season, I am reminded of the importance of taking time to pause and express our appreciation to those around us. As we prepare to gather with family and friends to celebrate the holiday, I want to share my gratitude with each of you on behalf of the George Washington University (GW) Cancer Center for your hard work, commitment and dedication to our mission.

Without the contributions of our dedicated providers, staff, faculty, residents and fellows, we would not be where we are today. Thank you for your continued efforts to build our reputation for excellence both here in D.C. and across the country. I am also grateful for the privilege of treating our brave patients who are fighting cancer, and ask that you keep them in your thoughts as well this holiday season.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, meaningful memories and restful reflection.

With gratitude,
Eduardo M. Sotomayor, MD
Dr. Cyrus Katzen Family Director of the GW Cancer Center
