To Staff and the Twin Rivers School Community,

I have never considered myself to be a hopeless optimist, but I do believe that when a person faces difficult times, they can make a choice to stay focused on the positive or surrender to anxiety and a lack of control. This is not the school year that we want for our kids, our teachers, or our community, and yet Twin Rivers is pulling together because we share one unwavering goal—to do our best for the students.

Some days it feels like we are in a raft navigating an unfamiliar river. Twists and turns lie ahead along with occasional choppy waters, while unanticipated rocks and obstacles emerge. This school year is like this unfamiliar and occasionally nerve-wracking river ride, and I am grateful to all team members for choosing to keep a positive focus, keep afloat and keep our focus because a safe journey is our shared goal.
