The Board of Education has passed new Policies
Student Records
Student records include the following:
Directory Data: Records which include the pupil’s name, address, telephone listing,
date and place of birth, participation in extracurricular activities, and the name of the
school most recently attended by the student.
Progress Records: Records that include the student’s grades, classes taken,
standardized test results, and attendance.
Physical Health Records: Basic health information about a child including
immunization records, emergency medical information, medications administered,
athletic permit card, athletic physician’s consent form, and screening results (hearing,
vision, etc…).
Behavior Records: Pupil records that include psychological tests and evaluations,
records of conversations, written statements relating specifically to student behavior,
and testing specific to student achievement.
Transfer of Records
When a request for records is received from another school all of the following records
will be released: Directory Data, Progress Records, and Physical Health Records. Only
written statements relating specifically to student behavior and testing specific to
student achievement will be released from Behavior Records.
