Important communications for students about Fall 2020 are posted on this page

Updated regularly, the links to information and videos will help you stay informed along with your student.

UC Mandated Health Requirements
TB/Immunization requirements for incoming students
Compliance deadline is October 30.

Flu Vaccine requirement for all incoming and continuing students. Compliance deadline is November 1.
Non-compliant students face academic holds.

All Fall 2020 incoming students who have not complied with these requirements by the deadline dates shown above will have an academic hold placed on their record preventing enrollment in Winter quarter (or Spring semester) classes. Non-compliant students will receive secure messages from Student Health Center advising them of their compliance status.

Immunization clinics will be held at the Student Health Center throughout the Fall. To schedule an appointment, please have your student visit the online  Student Health Patient Portal.

After the deadlines and after academic holds are placed for Winter Quarter, non-compliant students will still have an opportunity to complete the requirements and have the academic holds removed. However, the delay could adversely impact class availability and enrollment. So please, don't wait until it's too late!!

COVID-19 testing is now mandatory for all students residing on campus. More information »

Fall Career Resources for Students

As the world of work adapts to remote recruitment and working from home, the Division of Career Pathways (DCP) continues transforming their services and investing in resources to support students and alumni in reaching their career potential.
  • New technology including Focus 2 Career and on-demand career advice videos for navigating the job search process in the virtual environment

  • Online workshops with engaging webinars and Instagram Live events representing changes with the job search process (virtual interviews, job searching with LinkedIn) and building workplace experience (exploring the gig economy, how to find an internship)

  • Virtual Career Fair in which DCP continues connecting students and employers in meaningful ways for full-time and part-time employment as well as internships

NEW! Focus 2 Career:
Connecting academics with career planning

Many students ask themselves, "What can I do with my major?" and "What do I need to study to become a ____?" DCP's newest technology, Focus 2 Career, addresses these questions with the latest labor market data combined with a customized list of UCI majors and degrees.

The Focus 2 Career platform guides users through a reliable career and education decision-making process to help them select a major, explore occupations, make informed career decisions, and take action in their career development. Students can pursue multiple career paths and see all of the options available with their UCI degree.

Finding Work - Part-Time, Full-Time & Internships
Whether your student is looking for a part-time or work study job while in school, exploring internship options, or seeking a full-time position for the future - Career Pathways has events and resources to support their job search.
