Greetings!
This week, Dallastown Area School District welcomed our teachers back to school. Throughout the week, our outstanding team of teachers have been working around the clock to prepare for the return of our in-person, DASD Cyber Academy, and Wildcat Remote Learning students. We are excited to welcome our students and kick off the 2020-2021 school year.

In this week's edition of the Friday Wildcat News, families can review some of the recent updates, before the start of the school year.

UPDATES AND REMINDERS FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM AND NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM EXTENDED
On Monday, August 31 the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced it will be extending free meals for all students, tentatively through December 2020.

This will allow DASD students, including those in our DASD Cyber Academy and Wildcat Remote Learning,
to receive a breakfast and lunch each day at no charge.

While a la carte items are not included, they will be available for purchase during breakfast and lunch.
STUDENT TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION AVAILABLE THROUGH SKYWARD
2020-2021 Bus Routes: Student bus stop locations and times are available in Skyward by logging in and navigating to the “Transportation” section.

DASD DAILY SCREENING TOOL NOW AVAILABLE
The district continues to receive updated information and guidance surrounding the COVID-19 health crisis.

To allow guardians to quickly conduct daily health screenings, Health Services has developed a Daily Student Screening Tool to assist with symptom screenings and recommendations surrounding students returning to school.

Please begin using this tool with the electronic version provided below.
UPDATED SCHEDULE: PUBLIC ACCESS TO WILDCAT STADIUM RESTRICTED DURING SCHOOL DAY
Beginning Tuesday, September 8, Wildcat Stadium will be closed to the public, from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. for use by our students during the school day.

The facility will be open to the public outside of these hours. While using this facility remember to practice social distancing, stay home if you’re sick, maintain at least 6 feet between other people, do not gather in groups, and avoid touching surfaces. The use of the facility will be at the individual's own risk.
