The fall semester is well underway and the Rowan Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship has not missed a beat. We welcomed students back to campus this month and continue to offer mentorship and virtual programming to our students.

Martyn Gallus Joins Students for Virtual Coffee
Martyn Gallus, President of Applied Digital Solutions and Rowan alum, hosted the first Coffee with an Entrepreneur event of the fall semester. Gallus encouraged students to challenge themselves and said to focus on being around good people, to take risks, and not to be afraid of taking the road less traveled. Rowan Entrepreneurship Alum Featured Globally
Anthony Magaraci graduated with an entrepreneurship degree from Rowan University, Now his company, Trinity Packaging Supply, which has appeared several times on the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies, is also featured in the leading entrepreneurship textbook used not only at Rowan but all around the globe. You make us #RowanProud, Anthony!
RCB Faculty to Lead Upcoming Webinar for Collingswood, NJ
Dr. Eric Liguori, Rohrer Chair of Entrepreneurship and Executive Director of the RCIE, and Professor Colleen Kendrick, a lecturer in the Marketing Department, are panelists in the upcoming Collingswood Business Builders webinar on October 6th. They will discuss social media promotion and collaborative marketing.
New Speaker Series Features Adaptive Clothing Founder
RCIE is proud to partner with 1776 on our newest event series, Making a Maker. Nancy Connor, Founder and CEO of Smart Adaptive Clothing, was the first maker featured for her adaptive and inclusive clothing line. She told the story and meaning behind starting her company and demonstrated how the easy-fasten clothing works while providing style, independence, confidence, and dignity.
Entrepreneurship Faculty Scholarship Accepted for Publication
Please join us in congratulating the following faculty for having their research selected for publication in leading peer reviewed journal outlets: Dr. Eric Liguori, Dr. Lee Zane, and Dr. Susana Santos.
3D Confectionery Perfects Their Pitch
Tanvi Koduru, a junior entrepreneurship major, pitched her business, 3D Confectionery, during the RCIE Perfect Your Pitch workshop. The new workshop series offers pitch coaching and feedback, and gives students the opportunity to feel comfortable pitching in front of groups of people. Dr. Cheryl Bodnar Awarded Kern Grant
The Kern Family Foundation has awarded a three-year grant to Dr. Cheryl Bodnar, Assistant Professor of ExEEd and Assistant Director of RCIE Faculty Programs, and Dr. Juan Cruz, Assistant Professor of ExEED, for the "Building an EM Concept Map Toolbox for Course and Program Evaluation" project. Congratulations, Dr. Bodnar!
Innovation Express Workshop Utilizes Virtual Tools
Innovation Express is a weekly session that focuses on building practical entrepreneurship literacy, helping students speak the language of startups. This week's session focused on the idea that defining a business early on can help build strategies for future growth. Two students volunteered their business and the group helped strategize using a virtual whiteboard (pictured).
Faculty Get Moving During Certificate Program Session
Joe Tranquillo, Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Teaching and Learning Center Director at Bucknell University, joined the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Faculty Certificate Program for their Creativity Skills session. He showed faculty a Zoom mirroring technique (pictured) that teaches students about establishing connections in a virtual environment.
Students Design "Ear Saver" with Studio 231
Studio 231 ran its first Design Your Own Ear Saver Workshop this month. Students learned how to design and customize a 3D printed ear saver (pictured) that connects to a surgical or fabric mask behind the head. Click here for more details on the monthly workshop.
