Dear Community,

After consultation with the synagogue leadership, medical professionals, and the recommendations of the CDC and Health Department, it is with a heavy heart that we are temporarily closing the buildings at MJC for at least the remainder of the month of March. This means that all religious services and other activities are cancelled, including Shabbat and daily minyan. We are also cancelling the Community Seder scheduled for early April.

We will continue to be in touch with everyone electronically. We are working on providing online remote versions of some services and Torah study so that we can keep in touch spiritually, since we cannot do so physically. B'nai Mitzvah lessons will continue by phone and internet. Online Hebrew school lessons are being formulated so students can maintain and improve their skills.

We will continue to monitor the situation in our town, county and state. Please know that t his was a difficult decision for us to make, but we feel it is in the best interest of our congregation and the larger community.

Clergy and staff will still be available via email and phone. During office hours calls to the synagogue phone (732-536-2300) and Preschool office (732-536-2303) will be transferred to mobile/home phones and we will be receiving our phone messages as well. We will also be checking and responding to emails remotely.  After office hours, you will be prompted to contact us via the emergency line if you have a pastoral emergency.

We are here for you if you need anything, so please do not hesitate to reach out.

In good health to all,
Dara
