My Fellow Alums,
My name is Alex Klaris '06, and this past year I had the honor of being appointed to the position of President of the Allen-Stevenson Alumni Council. In this role, it's my responsibility to ensure that our incredible alumni base continues to become ever more involved in the growth and future of our wonderful school community.
Since I started in Kindergarten,
A-S has been a second home for me and my family. I care deeply about the School's past, present, and future as well as the countless members of the faculty and staff who shaped me into the man I am today, many of whom still work at A-S. I am thrilled to be serving my fellow alums across the globe and hope to see many of you get involved in shaping the future of our alma mater.
Our Alumni Council meets roughly three or four times a year and we would love to have you join us in these meetings for a slice of pizza, some soft drinks (or beer), and to hear your input about how we are shaping the next generation of A-S boys. You can learn about the exciting (almost finished!) building project taking place, and even hang out with Mr. Kersey as he regales us with stories from the past. It's an amazing group we've assembled, and if you're interested in getting involved, please reach out!
Lastly, I want to say that it is not lost on me just how much each member of the A-S alumni community values his time AND money. I know first-hand that sometimes it feels like there frankly just isn't enough of either to go around. What I can assure you though, from my many years of being involved with the school, is that everything counts. Truly. $5, $50, $500, a visit to the School, a chat with current students, it all matters.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the near future.
Fortiter et Recte!
