Ask yourself this yes/no question, and ask others - caregivers, healthcare providers, and even older adults ("Can I help you move more today?"). The Question Behaviour Effect (QBE) also referred to as the "self-prophecy effect" suggests that by asking and answering a behaviour-related question with a yes/no answer, you are more likely to follow through on the activity.  By answering "yes" or "no", you don't leave room for typical excuses "I don't have time", or "I don't know how". 

To make it even easier to carry through on your stated intention, use the new Movement is Good Medicine poster, which highlights 5 easy moves, and is applicable to all sectors of care. If your organization provides direct care to older adults, feel free to add your logo to the poster.
