2020 Census
The first mailings for the 2020 Census will go out in mid-March throughout Sacramento County. By the first week of April, households should receive a letter or postcard about how to complete the Census questionnaire.

Rancho Cordova Athletes Celebrate Championships
The Cordova High School Varsity wrestling team, Varsity girls' basketball team, Varsity boys' basketball team, and the Varsity girls' soccer team ALL won the Greater Sacramento League (GSL) Championships in their respective sport! The GSL is comprised of seven schools from throughout the Sacramento region.

Community Enhancement Fund Grant Applications Now Open
On February 10, 2020 the City of Rancho Cordova began accepting Community Enhancement Fund (CEF) grant applications for the 2020/2021 fiscal year. Applicants will have until March 20, 2020 to submit their proposals. The city will accept applications from individual residents, organizations, businesses, and community partners who are interested in enhancing the Rancho Cordova community.

Highway 50 and Zinfandel Drive Interchange Improvements
Construction on the Highway 50 and Zinfandel Drive Interchange project is underway. Zinfandel Drive and certain Highway 50 on and off ramps will have heavy traffic restrictions between 6 AM and 8 PM from March 14 - 15 and March 21 - 22 as road paving work is done, weather permitting. Traffic control will be in place to assist people traveling through the area.

Rancho Cordova Creek Week
Volunteer for Creek Week 2020! Waste that is dumped into creeks can destroy plants, pollute water and endanger wildlife. The City of Rancho Cordova is mobilizing to clean up its creeks on Saturday, April 18 from 9 AM - 12 PM. Four creeks and one neighborhood will be targeted for pickup this year and registration is now open.

This exhibit features titles that have been awarded the Coretta Scott King Book Award by the American Library Association. Named for Mrs. Coretta Scott King, author, activist, civil rights leader and the wife of Martin Luther King Jr., this award recognizes the works of outstanding African American authors and illustrators.
