Shooters...
GREAT NEWS....Frozen Five #3 and 3.5 are ON for this weekend, January 15 & 16, at Scarborough Fish & Game!
COME EXPERIENCE INDOOR SPORTING CLAYS (OR AS CLOSE AS WE CAN GET TO THAT AT SCARBOROUGH)
Yes, we know that it is going to be cold, so we are doubling our efforts to make this shoot seem like INDOOR SPORTING CLAYS. We will have more heated tents behind the shooting cages so you can trap and score from inside. We have added more stoves and heaters next to the cages to help warm up. We will have the warming huts all warm so if your squad gets cold you can pull out of rotation and get warm for a few minutes. This is European start, so if you need to stop and warm for a while, you can...the next squad can just shoot through. This will be the biggest display of outdoor heating you have ever seen in Maine! Just think of all the great stories you can tell your friends about the temperatures you shot in! You won't want to miss this weekend!
EVENTS
The events are the same for both Saturday and Sunday. This shoot will consist of two, 100 target NSCA registered events: a 100 target Main (Frozen Five #3) and a second Main event type event (Frozen Five #3.5). The course will be open 8am - 3pm. You can shoot either event first, but everyone on the squad must shoot the same event - please do not mix events and do not shoot both events at the same time, since it creates backups on the course.
MASKS
With the uptick in COVID, unfortunately, we are back to requiring that masks be worn inside the clubhouse.
LUNCH
There will be no lunch available at this shoot. Please bring your own lunch or plan on going out and grabbing lunch locally. Unfortunately, you will need to eat in your car, as the clubhouse is not open for lunch.
RENEW YOUR NSCA MEMBERSHIP NOW
Your NSCA membership expires on 12/31. In order to shoot registered at the next shoot, you will need to be sure that you renew your membership prior to this shoot. Now that we are on ScoreChaser, your NSCA information automatically populates when you register. if your membership is not up to date at the time you sign in at Scarborough, you will be shooting in Hunter Class. If you have renewed your membership and it isn't up to date on the NSCA website, please be sure to bring proof that you have renewed, otherwise you will be placed in Hunter class for this shoot. Thank you for your help.
SCORECHASER.COM
As you know, we are now putting all our shoots up on ScoreChaser.com. It is easy to create a free account. Most out of state shoots are also using ScoreChaser.com for registration and shoot results. We've heard rave reviews about how quickly our results are posted (and show up on NSCA's website). We strongly urge all our shooters to go out and create a FREE account and become familiar with the ScoreChaser.com website.
REGISTERING MULTIPLE SHOOTERS
We've had some questions about how to register multiple shooters on ScoreChaser. Go in and register yourself (if you have an NSCA number, be sure to put that in the proper field on the first page). When you get to the payment page (no payment is due until you get to the club to register in), at the bottom next to the "REGISTER" button, please click "+REGISTER ANOTHER SHOOTER". You will need to do that for each shooter you wish to register. Also, since there is no pre-squadding for this event, there is no need to fill out the squadding information - and filling out the squadding information, does NOT register additional shooters in.
If you are registering someone after you have already sent in your registration, go back to the main page of our shoot. Below the green button "My Registration" on that main page, click "+REGISTER ANOTHER SHOOTER".
REGISTER
To register, you can either register on ScoreChaser.com or email in your information. If you use ScoreChaser to register for events outside of Maine, please use ScoreChaser to register for our events. Both events are European start (no pre-squadding, you will squad yourself). If emailing in, please include: 1. Name(s). 2. NSCA Number(s) 3. Day(s) you will shoot, and 4. Event(s) you will shoot. The events are European start - no pre-squadding - you will squad yourself. Please, no registrations by text or phone!
NOTE: Please allow 48 hours for a response to your email and PLEASE DO NOT send multiple emails
