In the face of much uncertainty in our society, your support made 2021 another remarkable year at Christian HELP for many people.
Troy is one of those people. As last year was coming to a close, he faced much uncertainty. Troy worked in construction but knew he needed something better for his career and family.
Troy wanted to break into IT and had been smart enough to take several courses in this field during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite his initiative, he struggled to find an employer ready to take a chance on someone with no practical experience.
He turned to Christian HELP last fall.
Troy and his career coach started fine-tuning his resume to feature his newly acquired education. They also partnered to search for companies that were hiring. This was not a one-meeting relationship. Christian HELP's career coaches walk alongside each client, working with them in one-on-one relationships until they find their next opportunity.
It took quite a bit of work, but this partnership resulted in a company initially offering Troy a contract position that would last until the end of 2023. They then came back with an even better and more permanent job!
