Our Light will Prevail Darkness |

In each and every generation our enemies rise up to destroy us. When we have the courage to fight back, G-d helps us prevail. Hanukkah reminds us of this lesson. Like the Maccabees, we must lead with pride of our heritage and have the courage to fight back against hate, racism, and bigotry that undermine our values and threaten our existence. Each one of us can be a Maccabee, and together, we will overcome the darkness of antisemitism.
To learn more on how to fight back, we invite you to join Adam's virtual event hosted by the Los Angeles Holocaust Museum on Wednesday, December 16, at 11 AM Pacific Time. Adam will discuss how we can learn to fight our enemies and secure the future of the Jewish people through the lessons and experiences of the Holocaust. He will also explain why it is important to change our approach and position Jew-hatred as a universal problem, as outlined in his article Defining Antisemitism as a Jewish Problem is a Lose-Lose Proposition.
As we continue to fight COVID-19, there are vulnerable communities that need our help. Stand By Me, a nonprofit organization led by Gila, provides care and services to Israeli-American cancer patients and their families in Los Angeles. Presenting antisemitism as a Jewish problem has been a lose-lose proposition because it has not spurred effective action against Jew-hatred, neither by Jews nor by non-Jewish Americans. Our thousands of years of history in the diaspora substantiates the fact Jews alone cannot defeat antisemitism. To be successful we need other American allies to fight with us, and for that to happen they need to realize antisemitism is first and utmost an American problem.
If we are serious about the threat and have the courage to stand at the forefront of this fight, time is of the essence. Our history and increasingly dangerous reality show that the inalienable rights afforded by the American Constitution cannot be taken for granted. We need to fight today against the forces of evil trying to destroy America so that tomorrow we and future generations can continue living freely and proudly. We must fly into the future as brave eagles and stop seeing ourselves as sacrificial canaries.

StopAntisemitism.org just celebrated its second anniversary and we couldn’t be prouder of our explosive growth and amazing achievements in such a short period of time.
Our social media platforms reach millions of people every month as we curate the most relevant and comprehensive content about antisemitism in the U.S. Thanks to tips submitted by our dedicated followers, we often serve as the source of antisemitic news for the press. We have also developed relationships with law enforcement agencies and work hand in hand with partner organizations to alert the public and stop antisemitic hate crimes.
In 2019, we co-authored The New Anti-Semites report, which exposes in great detail how the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement is weaponizing progressive social justice concepts against Jews.
In 2020, we joined a coalition of 145 nonprofit organizations calling on Facebook to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism. Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg, responded with a commitment to refine Facebook’s policy. The platform soon updated its hate speech policy to prohibit content that denies or distorts the Holocaust.
