Margin
]: for Ourselves
John 7:37-39
|
From Mark....
We tend to schedule the necessary things in our lives and trust that there will be enough 'non-scheduled' space on our calendars to tend to our spirit, our treasured relationships, our creative passions. In reality, that margin is eaten up before we even have space to think about any of those "extras." What if we didn't treat those as extras? What if we intentionally
created margin by scheduling space to be fully present to those aspects of our lives. What of our relationships would grow? What of our health would increase? What creative gift might be unleashed in the world? Jesus said, "Rivers will flow out of the believer's heart." When we have no margin to replenish our own wells, our lives can quickly turn into a stagnant
swampland instead of a river of living water flowing into the world. Where's your margin?
How could it change... well, everything?

Power Up Your Prayer Workshop
The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing - a spiritual discipline that we all work to achieve. Prayer is a powerful practice and one that every Christian's tool box should include.
Join us this Saturday for the Power Up Your Prayer Workshop, from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in Broadway's Fellowship Hall. Registration is $10 and includes a light breakfast and lunch. Please contact
Debby if you plan to register at the door.

Fluffing of the Greens
If your last name is Green, there is no need to be worried!
Believe it or not, it is time to begin decorating Broadway for the Advent Season, which begins on Sunday, December 1. Our Liturgical Arts team needs your help to "fluff" the greenery that is a part of our holiday decorating! Please join the group on Tuesday, November 19, from 8:00 a.m.-Noon, for a morning of fluffing fellowship! Snacks and tea will be served to sustain the fluffers in Fellowship hall. This is an activity that will allow you to be seated while fluffing - contact Vickie at 573-823-3878 for more information.

Friends-Giving Celebration
Thanksgiving is a celebration of family- our own unique family group and the family of the United States, created out of many cultures and histories that have combined to from our very diverse and dynamic nation.
On Sunday, November 24, at 5:00 p.m., please be a part of the Broadway family that will celebrate Thanksgiving with the Burmese families that make up the Myanmar Christian Fellowship congregation. Our Burmese friends hold worship every Sunday in our Loft (and original Sanctuary), and have Sunday School for their children in our lower level classrooms (our Sunday School space before the CLC!).
Mission and Outreach Ministry will provide the main dish of turkey and ham and we ask that everyone bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. Expect to hear music and stories that will inspire you - hope to see many members of our Broadway family!

Visit Our Tree of Hope!
The Tree of Hope is a favorite Broadway tradition and Advent ministry! The Tree is up in Fellowship Hall, decorated with the names of children in Boone County and Columbia who need a little help this Christmas. Just take one of the cards (or as many as you'd like!) and sign it out in the log. Return the gifts for your child, with the card attached, by December 8. If you have questions, please contact
Debby

Sponsor Our Sanctuary Flowers
Each Sunday, Broadway's Chancel is enhanced with a beautiful floral arrangement. What you may not realize is that our members sponsor each Sunday's flowers!
You can sponsor an arrangement in celebration or in memory of a special person or event. The arrangements are crafted by Kent's Floral Gallery and cost $35. Look for the Flower Chart in the Narthex this Sunday!
